I don't think it's right or wrong, but I would never do it. When I'm old, I personally would want my wrinkles to show when i smile, rather then have a tight face, and not be able to show any emotion.
i think it's wrong. I believe we were created by a creator and He saw fit to create us the way He wanted to and changing it is an insult. we are beautiful the way we are (unless of course you're extremely obese or anorexic, that's wrong because it's unhealthy) but looks wise i think it's wrong to change our bodies just because we don't like it. super selfish
right and wrong aside, because I don't really believe in them, I have no issue with cosmetic surgery. it gives people the ability to change things about themselves that they don't like. It can make people genuinely feel better about themselves and thus enjoy life more, at no cost to anyone else, and how can you argue with that.
its funny to me how braces are okay to most where as plastic surgery will "raise eyebrows." (clever clever) but seriously, whats the difference. you're paying money to enhance your teeth to be straight to feel better about your smile and teeth. its changing by force what nature gave you. sounds like plastic surgery to me. (or metal surgery)
I wouldn't do it because even though I do have a pretty crappy body image sometimes, I feel like it's my responsibility to change it myself, not cop out and get surgery done. I feel like it's cheating and such. I do understand if people are doing it for reconstructive surgery after an injury or something similar. I also understand if they don't want to. It's an individual decision, I suppose.
i think that surgery is something that should be used if one of your feautures restricts you from doing something that a personally normally wouldn't. i guess it's all about excess. i think that braces on teeth are fine or if someone is in a car accident and wants to fix themselves up then that's fine. i think that celebrities for instance, go overboard.

I think that imperfections are what make people beautiful.
ReplyDeleteonly if you're REALLY ugly
ReplyDeleteI don't see any problem with it. And yes, I would do if I had enough money.
